An interview with Satomi was the main feature of the September 1999 issue of ''P

Also in 1999 she appeared (as Saki Shiratori) with male AV-star Chocoball Mukai in Shungo Kaji's mock documentary film, ''Ekiben'', a spoof of the AV industry which was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival. In a review of the film the U.S. publication ''Variety'' noted that Shiratori's performance as the director's "discovery" was especially good.〔 AllRovi calls it a "funny and oddly poignant film".〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ekiben )〕 Satomi won her second Best Actress award for her performance in Mamoru Watanabe's (2001). Satomi was again the lead feature of ''P
*G'' magazine in October 2002. This issue devoted a 57-page article to the five-year span of her career up to that time, and included another interview.
